There are countless ways to imagine, interpret, and experience the notion of liminality in our daily lives. It can manifest in subtle ways, through the stories we hear or the emotions we feel deep within ourselves. Living in the hyphen between one moment and the next, we encounter these thresholds in the tales of Persephone or Charon, through the physical spaces we inhabit, and in the ways we remember and retell our histories. Liminality encompasses not only physical locations but also the shifting metaphysics of space, time, and the imagination. These transitional states are woven into the fabric of our lives, often unnoticed yet integral to our experience. We regularly move through these in-between spaces, but they tend to slip from our awareness or are intentionally overlooked—forgotten liminal moments. In our fifth call for submissions, we invite you to pause, to slow down, and to reflect on these transitory phases of existence. We encourage you to explore the spaces and moments that connect where we have been to where we are headed, to examine the very essence of being in-between.
