The Association of Illustrators has been at the forefront of celebrating creativity and talent in illustration since 1976 through its annual juried competition. This event, reimagined in 2015 as the World Illustration Awards (WIA) in partnership with the Directory of Illustration, has grown into a globally recognized platform that supports and celebrates illustrators. WIA is dedicated to connecting creatives with the international illustration industry, fostering collaboration, and shining a spotlight on outstanding works from artists around the world.
For the 2024 edition of the World Illustration Awards, the Association of Illustrators and the Directory of Illustration are offering a unique opportunity for 40 illustrators to enter one project free of charge. This initiative was specifically designed to assist artists who might face financial barriers to entry.
