Ah Haa HAHA is committed to delivering a contemporary art event that is accessible, exciting, and fully engaging for all participants. Celebrating its fourth year, HAHA was conceived by Kris Kwasniewski, Exhibitions Manager of the Ah Haa School for the Arts, and Christin Marcos, Director of Development. The event invites people to challenge their perceptions and explore the limitless possibilities of art.
Artists selected for HAHA are given logistical support and a materials stipend, while also receiving full creative autonomy to design an immersive experience that reflects their unique artistic practices. These artists have been featured by prestigious organizations such as National Public Radio, The Los Angeles Times, TEDx, and the New York Times, and have exhibited their work in locations like The White House, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.
Ah Haa’s core mission is to build community and foster joy through art, with a strong commitment to ensuring opportunities for a diverse group of artists. HAHA proudly supports artists from all backgrounds, including marginalized communities, and encourages them to apply. The event also includes outreach programs where HAHA artists offer free participatory events in Telluride, helping the local community express themselves creatively and feel a sense of belonging.
