About the event

Entry is by on-line submission at: www.sketchclub.org/exhibitions Submissions: You can submit up to 10 works. Maximum Accepted Works Per Artist is 3. Works Eligible: This is an open, juried competition for illustration work in any media completed during the last 5 years. Categories for work submitted include Book, Editorial, Advertising, Institutional, and Self Promotion, and Student. All work must be original and not previously shown at the PSC. Submitted pieces can be 2D or 3D in any medium. We encourage works to be offered for sale. Student Category: Any work completed as undergraduate or high school course work between January 2022 and September 2023 Entry Fee: • PSC Members: $10 entry for first piece, $10 each additional works • Non Members: $25 for first piece, $10 for each additional works Online Entry Assistance: contact Josie Rowley via email: gallerymanager@sketchclub.org Deadline for on-line submissions: 11:59 PM Wednesday, September 20th 2023 Notification of acceptance: Emails sent Tuesday, September 26th. Check your spam box! Delivery Dates: Wednesday September 27th 1-5pm, Friday September 29th1-5pm, Saturday September 30h 1-3pm Pick Up Dates: After reception Sunday October 22ndth 3-5, Wednesday October 25th 1-5pm, Friday October 27th 1-5pm. Work cannot be stored at the club and must be picked up, or a pick up date arranged at a later time. Reception: Sunday October 22nd, 1-3pm. Awards ceremony at 2pm. We encourage shareable snacks brought to the event! Prizes: First Place $300 & PSC Medal, Second Place $200 & PSC Medal, Third Place $100 & PSC Medal. Additional medals awarded in each category. Student Award: First Place $100 & PSC Medal, Second Place $50 & PSC Medal, Third Place $25 & PSC Medal. Exhibition Chair: Richard Harrington Exhibitions Coordinator: Josie Rowley Juror: Moss Freedman Moss Freedman was born in Chicago, IL. He studied Fine Arts at Kenyon College and then went on to earn an M.F.A. in Sculpture from Washington University in St. Louis. For nearly two decades, Moss lived and worked in New York City as an animation designer for a Disney affiliated animation studio (Jumbo Pictures) and then as an Art Director for major advertising companies (Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann Erickson.) Moss currently lives in Maplewood, NJ and is a professor at Seton Hall University. He teaches drawing, color and design, figure drawing.
